The eye drops are distributed nationwide remembered after a “fungal material” was found inside an unopened vial of eye drops.
Alcon Laboratories Inc. issued a voluntary recall of a batch of 25 Systane Lubricant Ultra PF Eye Drops Individual vials on the go earlier this week.
A customer notified the company of strange material in a sealed vial that was later determined to be fungus.
If the fungus gets into the eyes, it can cause eye infections that can threaten vision, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
