England have named four potential Ashes debutants in their squad for the multi-form series in Australia.
Heather’s riding side are bidding to win the Ashes for the first time in 10 years, with Australia retaining the youth-trained series in England in 2023.
All-rounder Freya Kemp and spinner Linsey Smith have both been named in the T20 squad, with wicketkeeper Bess Heath included in the T20 and Test squads, as the trio compete to make their debuts. Seamer Ryan MacDonald-Gay has also been included in the Test squad after impressing on debut in the recent tour of South Africa.
The Women’s Ashes starts on January 11 with three ODIs, three T20s and one Test match in Melbourne. Cricket On the 30th of January. England bounced back from the T20 World Cup to beat South Africa comfortably, losing just one ODI in the multi-series series.
Nat Sciver-Brunt has set England’s key figure in the Ashes after a superb year which saw her score the fastest century in a women’s Test against South Africa from just 96 balls.
