A former FBI agent said it was “clear” that he was shooter of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson “trained for his mission” and that the suspect carried out the execution “calmly”.
Former Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer said she analyzed Surveillance tapes of UnitedHealthcare CEO ‘over and over again’ to make his own conclusion, which she divided on her YouTube show Break the Jen Coffindaffer FBI case on Thursday.
Police appear to be investigating the identity of the fatal shooting suspect Thompson by the Hilton Hotel on Sixth Avenue in midtown manhattan, New York City, on Wednesday morning.
The new photos were released by the NYPD on Thursday morning revealed the smiling face of the man wanted in the slaying of the UnitedHealthcare CEO.
“This person definitely knew this gun, knew it was going to malfunction and trained for their mission,” Coffindaffer said of the suspect. “And by the way, he accomplished his mission.”
“This whole thing was done very calmly,” she added.

But Coffindaffer, who spent 28 years specializing in gangs, narcotics and organized crime at the FBI, said she does not believe the suspect is a professional shooter.
“So either he was playing this, and his skill, really honing it to make this a successful hit, or he could have been engaged,” she surmised. “But this is not a marksman, this is not a shooter.”
Coffindaffer added that she believed the suspect was “very familiar with this gun and well versed in shooting it,” despite the fact that the gun appeared to be malfunctioning.
“I’m very, very confident that he knew he was going to break down after every shot,” she said. “You can go to the range and train and train and train and be good enough to do what he did, which is basically hit once miss twice.
“Was this a professional marksman? No. Did he plan this well? Absolutely,” Coffindaffer concluded.
While investigators are working to identify a motiveother experts said the alleged gunman’s slow, deliberate movements indicated experience with firearms, possibly in the police or military.

According to police sources, three words “reject”, “reject” and “defend” are etched into live bullets and casings found outside Hilton Hotel.
Police sources confirmed the chilling message ABC News and New York Postadding that three nine-millimeter live bullets and three nine-millimeter shell casings were recovered from the scene.
Several bullets have one of three words written on them, they add.
It is not clear what kind of message the killer might have been trying to leave over the inscription, with what motive and with what identity of the suspect still a mystery.
Coffindaffer weighed in on the three words, adding that her opinion was “this shooting was personal.”
“There is a high possibility that the murder was motivated by denial health insurance“, she said in a post on X. “I would look for communication where these words were previously written or spoken. The person responsible for this murder has said or written this before!”
