An icon in the London hotel scene, it’s reasonable to expect great things from it Savoy At the brightest time of the year — and we were not disappointed. A large Christmas tree stands in the lobby, glittering gold and white decorations cover the ceiling, and an LED twinkling angel like the one hanging in Regent Street leads the way to the gorgeous new restaurant, the Gallery, where afternoon tea is served on linens. – Kitted top table with polished silver teapot. Champagne is poured as a perfect rectangular sandwich filled with coronation turkey, smoked cheddar, smoked salmon, and ham and mustard. Two tasty bites of parsnip, carrot and parmesan pastry and a small truffle and brioche finger sandwich with gold flakes follow. If you want more sandwiches, the team generously offers a second serving. Opt for the High Tea menu and indulge in hot main courses between tea servers; Duck breast, scallops and vegetarian pearl barley are on the menu. Unleash the flavors of tea and wait for warm scones with creamy lemon curd and fresh strawberry jam and the most delicious cakes, all from Santa’s belly in Christmas attire, with bourbon vanilla cake decorated with a delicate waist belt made of chocolate.
