O*that the color of my beauty should be experienced more. So, at a recent channel event, I tried the pink eye shadow in the palette you saw on this page. I literally ran my finger through the shade and rubbed it across the inner lid. It looked fabulous. Which was a nice surprise as I tend to avoid eyeshadow – “Who has time?” I mumble – but since this is easy, it doesn’t take time.

I can’t do without … I cream my hands on what is good like the face of God
Sometimes I inadvertently leave the house without hand cream, and myself and my hands feel perfectly fine. I’m also tempted to ask a total stranger if I can borrow some hand cream (if only it’s in a tube – hygiene and all that). Anyway, hand cream has long been a key part of my skincare routine – and that of many black women. Culture, dry, gray hands were never an option. Hence I am always looking for a cream that will deliver something more. I was intrigued by this one from Necessaire because it includes retinol and the difference in my hands — smoother, brighter — was impressive. Brands create body products with the same care and attention as creating products for the face. And this makes particular sense for hands. When our bodies are working the hardest, they need more moisture. This dermatologist-tested hand cream includes AHAs and peptides, as well as retinol, so it does everything you’d expect from a hand cream, but it also tackles age spots, wrinkles and even fragile cuticles. Generally retinol should be used at night (due to sun sensitivity) and this product is an overnight treatment. But I used them during the day
