Oleksandr Usyk says his rematch win over Tyson Fury on Saturday night was “easier” than his first fight last May. Usyk (23-0, 12 KOs) successfully defended his three belts, WBA, WBC and WBO heavyweight titles, defeating Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) for the second time in Riyadh,
Usik is not necessarily an easy fight for him, but it is “easier” than their previous one, which the judges scored by split decision in 12 rounds. This time they gave it to Usika by unanimous decision in 12 rounds with scores of 116-112, 116-112 and 116-112.
Usyk outshot Fury by a wide margin with a higher connect rate. He was clearly the better fighter, seemingly sweeping the last seven rounds.
The ‘Gypsy King’ had his moments in the rematch, but when he did, Usyk would come right back, landing some hard punches to take the upper hand. This pattern was repeated in each round.
Fury’s Tantrum
After the post-fight results were announced, Tyson stormed out of the ring, looking childish and unwilling to stick around to talk to the media. It’s a passive-aggressive move that people use to manipulate others to get their way.
In this case, this behavior made Fury look like a full blown baby. Tyson looked worse when he appeared at the post-fight press conference and insisted he had won, saying the judges had given Us a “Christmas present”.
“The fight was easy. It’s not easy, but it’s easier than the first one,” Oleksandar Usik said on the road post-fight press conference on Saturday night after defeating Tyson Fury in a rematch in Riyadh. “Tyson Fury is a great opponent. He is a strong boxer and a big man.
“Uncle Frank is blind,” Usyk said of Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, believing Tyson deserved a three- or four-round victory. “If Fury said this was a ‘Christmas present,’ fine.” Frank is a crazy man, I think. Ok, no problem. I win.”
Usyk told it like it was, giving his thoughts on Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, believing he deserved the win. It had to be disappointing for Warren to watch Fury lose because it means that the trilogy fight between him and Usyk that Turki Alalshik talked about is now off the table. Fury still has Anthony Joshua to make big money fighting in 2025, but there won’t be an additional big payday against Usyk in a third fight.

“I did (I agree with the ratings). The first rounds were close. “Tyson had some middle rounds, but in the backstretch, the last six, Usih had almost all of them,” Sunny Edwards said. Fight Hub TV.
“It wasn’t as great a fight as the first time, but you could see that both men respected each other.” They weren’t trying to give too much away, but when they started to let go, there were fireworks.
