Princess Beatrice to spend Christmas with royal family due to pregnancy | Monarchy

Princess Beatrice will join the royal family at Sandringham this Christmas after changing her travel plans due to medical advice, it is understood.

Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, are expecting their second child in early spring and have been planning overseas with the Queen’s in-laws.

But they have been warned not to travel long distances, the PA news agency reported.

The royal baby will be a little brother or sister to the couple’s three-year-old daughter, Siena, and the son of Mapelli Mozzi and Beatrix’s stepson, eight-year-old Wolfie.

A large number of the royal family will be guests of King Charles and Queen Camilla at Sandringham on Christmas Day. The Prince of Wales recently revealed that 45 people will be “all in one room” on a private estate in Norfolk.

But Beatrice’s father, the duke of York, dwells amid the surrounding controversy its connection to the alleged Chinese spy.

Last week, the Supreme Court revealed that the the alleged spy Yang Tengbowho had been banned from the UK, was said to be a “closer” confidant of Prince Andrew.

Yang, a businessman whose identity was previously protected by an anonymity order, said after a judge lifted the ban on Monday.

In a statement, Yang denied suggestions that he was involved in spying and said he had “done nothing wrong or illegal and that the concerns raised by the Home Office against me were ill-founded”.

The pair are said to be planning to have a date at Royal Lodge, their home in Windsor Great Park, Berkshire. Beatrice’s sister, Princess Eugenie, and her family spend Christmas with their in-laws.
