Officials are expected to receive a secret briefing on the series apparent mystery drones have been spotted in several states over the past month.
These drones have been observed in California, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New YorkOhio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia during the last month. At least one airport was closed late last week due to reported drone activity.
Members of the House Intelligence Committee are now expected to receive a classified briefing on Tuesday afternoon, according to CNN.
“We are not aware of any foreign involvement in the sightings in the northeast. And we are vigilant in investigating this case, the Department of Homeland Security, with the Federal Bureau of Investigation at the helm,” said the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. Alejandro Mayorkas he said on Sunday.
The House Intelligence Committee is scheduled to receive a briefing on drones this week. Democratic Rep. Jim Himes, a member of the committee, told Fox News he was frustrated by the current lack of information.
“There are a lot of us who are pretty frustrated right now,” Himes said. “The answer ‘we don’t know’ is not a good enough answer when people are upset, when they are nervous, and that has been true since we have been a species on this planet.”
“These are not Iranians, they are not Chinese. They are not Martians,” he added.

Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar called for increased transparency from federal officials about mysterious drone sightings in several states.
“First, we need a briefing for members of the Senate to understand what’s going on here,” Klobuchar told CBS News. “Second, we need more transparency.”
Allegedly, the members of the lower House of Congress are also frustrated.

President-elect Donald Trump says “something weird is going on” with drone sightings
President-elect Donald Trump has accused President Joe Biden and his administration of keeping people “in suspense” over drone sightings in several states.
“Our military knows, and our president knows, and for some reason they want to keep people in suspense,” he said Monday at a news conference at his Mar-a-Lago estate. “Something strange is going on and for some reason they don’t want to tell people, but they should.”
Trump added that he did not want to comment on whether he had received an intelligence briefing on the drones.

New Jersey Mayor Says ‘Something’s Happening’ With Drones
Washington Township Mayor Matthew Murello said Good morning America “something is going on” with drones spotted in his condition.
“I’m not trying to instigate anything, but we all know — if you just turn on the television — that drones can be used in an aggressive way,” Murello said Monday. “They can carry a load. They can be used for all kinds of really aggressive things.”
Murello expressed frustration with federal officials for not releasing more information.
“No one knows what these things do,” he said. “At best, they just get a video of us. Again, I don’t know why here. We are just a country country. If you want videos of the cows, I’ll be happy to send you some.”
