Journeiman Dillian White (31-3, 21 KOs) scored a seventh-round stoppage of Ebenezer Teteh (23-2, 20 KOs) on Sunday night at the Europa Point Sports Complex in Gibraltar. The referee stopped the fight after the seventh round as the 36-year-old Tete was severely punished.
Dilian had quite a bit of strength and looked like he was training at a hamburger stand. He didn’t look good, struggling to stop a fighter who was destroyed by Daniel Dubois in one round in 2019. Tonight’s fight showed that White is a shell of the fighter he once was. There are no words to describe how bad White looked. He was so awful to watch.
The painfully slow and wild Tete battled White in the first match, climbing the ropes and landing some nice shots. For a moment, it looked like the lanky-looking 261-pound White was in trouble, but he dodged enough of Teteh’s shots to escape without going down.
After the first round, Tete was exhausted and fought in short bursts for the remainder of the contest. In the fourth, White bloodied Tetet’s nose, which woke up Gana. He went on the attack and had a decent round. That was the last hurray for Tete, and he rarely threw a punch after the fourth.

In the seventh, White unloaded with a flurry of punches, trying to land a pin but failing. He fell to the canvas after throwing a wild right hand.
White used plenty of rabbit punches, low kicks and forearms to wear down Tete throughout the contest, but the referee decided not to penalize him. Sometimes it’s pretty ugly with fouling, considering this was such a mismatch, and there was no real need for that tactic.
“I needed rounds. I was out for a long time. I was angry and wanted to kill. Anyone who comes from a third world country is trying to change their life. He gave me the rounds I needed. I’m happy,” said Dillian Whyte after his victory over journeyman Ebenezer Tete.
“Everyone is fighting everyone. Turki does a great job of getting the guys to fight each other. I want to fight in March. Inactivity killed my career. I would like to be in the Riyadh season ticket. People pay their hard earned money to come out and see me.
It’s hard to imagine Turki Alalshikh including White on any of his cards for the Riyadh season as he looks very, very old and slow at 36. It wouldn’t be a good idea to include it. There are plenty of talented younger heavyweights who are more deserving of being on the cards for the season in Riyadh than White.
