Primers: 10 of the best | Skincare

I I never really thought that primaries would form a significant part of my rituals. For me, primers were simply another step, just not the time. and so I jumped. At my peril. What I realized a long time ago is that the first imperative (of quality) is to make your work honest. Everything that follows creates a wretched and hysterical match. This means, basically, to avoid everything sliding around in your face before you’ve made it onto the road. Wearing makeup without primer is a bit like painting over layers of film. It looks good on you. Then it was brought to the wall, cleaned, and prepared for painting. And you go a moment. Both are not comparable. However, I understand why, aside from the time factor, tons of people don’t use primers. Historically, textures and formulas are a bit gunky and ironically just don’t work well with foundations, leaving a build-up effect. These days the choice is better and much wider – textures (powder, leaves, balm) and also finishing, to meet all needs (burring, mattifying, shining). Which means you no longer have to worry about the primer making your face look like a bobbly old sweater.
