Sarah Hadland is one of four remaining contestants competing in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing the grand finale.
The actor, 53, has been tipped to take part in the BBC’s popular dance competition in 2024 on ITV Lorraine in August, in addition to the first ones The X Factor contestant Shayne Wardand revealed that she can’t wait to start the show.
“I can’t believe I’m a part of it Strictly!” Hadland said. “I feel particularly excited to be a part of such an iconic show in its 20th year.”
Hadland is best known for being one of the original cast members of the CBBC sketch show Horrible Histories and for her role as joke shop manager Stevie Sutton on the BBC sitcom Mirandain which she starred alongside series lead Miranda Hart, as well as Tom Ellis and Patricia Hodge.

Hadland grew up in Hertfordshire and got involved in youth theater while at school in Cheshire. Like her mate Strictly 2024 contestant Tasha Ghouri, Hadland already has some dance experience, having trained in ballet since she was three. Before landing an acting role, she began her career dancing in West End musicals including Cats and Grease when she was 19 years old.
The Doctor Who star and Hadland’s close friend Alex Kingston called out earlier Miranda actress for her dance training, saying: “Sarah Hadland and I were talking about how much we’d like to work Strictly Come Dancing.
