A man died in a two-alarm house fire Friday afternoon, according to the Plainville Fire Department.
Officials responded to 61st School Street around 3:08 p.m. and found a ranch-style single-family home engulfed in flames.
When firefighters entered the home, they found a man who was using a wheelchair and was unable to escape the home, according to a statement from the Plainville Fire Department. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
