Boston Police investigating death at luxury apartment building



The Boston Police Department is investigating a death at a luxury apartment building in the South End after a person’s body was discovered there Thursday night.

Officers responded to the area of ​​390 Harrison Ave., the listed address for the Harris South End Apartments, around 7 p.m. for a welfare check, a department spokesman said.

They found one person dead in an apartment and called homicide detectives to the scene, he said.

The spokesman added that the investigation was ongoing and that he did not know the person’s age or gender. He did not say how the person appeared to have died. Police planned to release more information Friday morning.

Citing Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden’s office, CBS Boston reported that the person found dead was a woman.

A spokesman for the district attorney did not immediately respond to an email seeking information.
