4 takeaways as Boston Celtics lose to Heat, Jordan Walsh ejected

Las Vegas – Celtics lost for the first time in the summer leaguefalling into the heat 100-96 on Monday in the COX pavilion. The C met with a two -digit deficit, but the heat made enough shots to get the victory. Boston fell 2-1 in the summer league game.

The Celtics struggled offensively from an early age, as their inefficiency faced them with a 13 -point deficit at halftime. But they came out strong in the third quarter, marking 31 points with Baylor’s Barnsman Putting 11 points, three assists and three robberies on the frame. This allowed the Celtics to clear the deficit, setting up a closed end. But it wasn’t enough, as the heat had enough to close the victory.

Scheierman ended with 19 points, nine rebounds and five assists when he increased in the second half. The C had seven players in a double figure. Kel’el Ware had 21 points and 15 rebounds while Pelle Larsson ended with 24 points.

The Celtics face the Lakers at 9 pm on Thursday at Thomas and Mack Center. Then four are shown to take the loss of Boston to Miami:

Expulsion from the Summer League: Jordan Walsh so far gathered his best summer league game, But that came to an early end. Walsh was expelled with 3:34 left on the second quarter after collecting his second technical fault of the game. He played with the fire, but he reached the point where he was too much. Walsh ended with 13 points and three rebounds in 5 for 8 shots in 10 minutes Monday.

I couldn’t complete the comeback: Although it seemed that the Celtics were about to get a good comeback, they couldn’t take off on Monday. They had the opportunity to improve up to 3-0, which would have put them in a solid position to be able to qualify for the Summer League semifinals. But at 2-1, they are likely to have to win their final game against Lakers and we hope that other results will be in favor elsewhere.

Growing pains: Hugo Gonzalez impressed his summer league opener, but the 19 -year -old had his struggles the second time. Gonzalez got 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists, but fired on the 3-12 of the field and made six changes. He also had seven personal offenses that he called him (the players’ area allowed up to 10 in the Summer League). There were times throughout the game where frustration was clearly mounted for the 28th General Selection. But, like his debut, a summer league game will not do or break his career. It was another data point to use, as it seems to continue to develop its game.

Surprise addition continues to produce: Charles Bassey was not on the initial list, but this summer league is quickly being an interesting name. The Big Man is playing a contract against Celtics and other explorers after playing with the last three seasons. Bassey had another productive game, collecting 10 points and nine rebounds in his last solid performance. Given that C need a great depth of the man, it is worth a follow -up to see what they do with Bassey forward.
