Air India crash latest: Preliminary report say fuel switches were cut off before plane went down

The fuel taken from the port of the airport and the tanks used to fill the plane was tested with the aviation laboratories and found satisfactory, said the preliminary report.

Only very small amounts of fuel could be downloaded from the parts of the crashed aircraft itself.

They will be tested separately in a specialist laboratory, investigators said.
