The four-year boy died after the tombstone fell on him in the cemetery in Lancashire.
Emergency services were invited to Rawtenstall Cemetery for about 13 hours On Saturday afternoon after the report, the tombstone fell on the child.
In spite of effort to save him, the boy died. Police Lancashire said his death is not treated as suspicious and that in the foreseeable future, he will undergo a file on HM Coronor “
Lancashire police spokesman said, “We are invited to Rawtenstall Cemetery at 1 p.m. today (5 July) after the report that the tombstone fell on the child.
“Tragic, and despite the best efforts of emergency services, the boy died sadly. Our thoughts are with their loved ones on this disastrous time.
“His death is not treated as a suspicious and file will be made on the HM coroner in the foreseeable future.”
The cemetery, located on Burnley Road, Catholic, church, church, non-complicity and Muslim funeral and currently has over 21,000 burials and over about 17 hectares.
There is a chapel that can sit around 40 people who can hire for a small fee.
