The home and family of U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley were targeted in a bomb threat, a spokesperson for the Boston Democrat told MassLive.

The threat against Pressley, D-7th District, was received Monday by the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office, and Boston police were “on site at the congresswoman’s residence to assess the situation,” it said the spokesperson in a statement.

The Boston Democrat was unharmed.

“SWAT threats like these pose a threat not only to elected officials, their families and their staff, but also to our neighbors and community and we condemn them in the strongest terms,” ​​Pressley’s office said.
