For the fourth consecutive year, the New England Revolution will have representatives in the next All-Star MLS game.
This year, Christiano Oliveira and Josh Macedo will represent the club, marking the second time the Revs sent two players.
The two products of the New England Academy, Oliveira and Macedo have each ink contract with the team.
Oliveira, a 17 -year -old midfielder from Somerville, made his first team debut during the United States Open Cup this season, coming out of the bench against Rhode Island FC before starting the Chicago fire on May 20.
Macedo, a striker, comes from Santa Clarita, California, and made his debut in Revs II on May 18. The 16 -year -old man stated his first professional goal on June 9 against Chicago Fire II.
“Cristiano and Josh have a relentless ethics and commitment of work that have properly won their places in the next All-Star game,” said REVS technical director Remi Roy. “The development of Cristiano since joining the Academy has been commendable and Josh has acted admirably with Revolution II this season. We are excited about their future contributions to the club.”
Previously, the club sent Bajraktarevic, Jack Panayotou, Oler Escobar and Damario Mcintosh to the next game All-Star MLS.
This year’s match will take place on July 21 at 7:30 pm. Central time, in Parmer Field, headquarters in Austin FC II. The match will be transmitted to the MLS YouTube channel.
After the game, the All-Star Week MLS will continue with a challenge of skills on July 22, and then the All-Star match from the MLS against the MX All-Stars League on July 23. There is no first Team players on the team made the All-Star list of the MLS this season.
