David Morrell says that the loss of David Benavidez “woke up”, and he was motivated for his redemption against Imam Khataev on the light heavy weight 12. July in Queens, New York.
Morrell (11-1, 9 KOS) worked on the mistakes he made against Benavidez and is ready to show a new version of himself against undefeated Olympic Khataeva (10-0, 9 KOS) in their 10th round in his Serbia Dazn ppv.

“The loss of that Benavidez’s fight woke me up. I hurt something,” Morrell said.
If Morrell can score Khataeva, it would be impressive because he saw as the next Beterbiev in the eyes of some people. It has strength and amateur pedigree to be a difficult opponent for Morrella.
Khataev Visa issues a fight against influence?

Repair with benavidez or buffalo / beterbieva?

Benavidez will not be in a hurry to fight Morrell again after the punishment he took to that fight. He looked like he eventually got the worst of it. If Morrell makes several adjustments to the increase in hit out of impact, it will probably stop benavidez because there is better punching power.

It is unlikely that Morrell will get a chance to fight the winner of the Burbol against Beterbie’s fight. David Benavidez is next all right. However, if Morrell looks good in beating I have Khataev and will get another solid under my belt, it will be able to challenge the world title.
Bivol and Beterbie’s grow old. None is expected to stay around much more. If Morrell can’t get to one of them before pulling, they will still be able to fight for the titles after they emptied. This could mean the revenge against Benavidez.
