Boston Celtics draft Max Shulga with No. 57 overall pick



The Celtics wrapped their NBA 2025 draft selecting Max Shulga with the general selection number 57. The C BAGS BEFORE THE PROJECTThis is how they ended with one of the last elections in the second round.

Shulga, 23, started his career in Utah State before playing his last two seasons in VCU. Shulga was born in Ukraine before coming to the state with a stop in Spain in the middle. Last season, he promised 15.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 35 games for VCU.

Shulga also fired 39.2% in three points during their five years at college. Shulga is 6 feet 5, as it brings a little size to the guard position. He helped Driving VCU at the NCAA tournament last season and a number 11 at Big Dance.

The Celtics originally started on Thursday with the general selection number 32, but chose to trade. They moved the 32nd selection for the 46th election, where they took a old man amari willmsand the 57th Global Choice, along with the second round in 2026 and 2027.
