West Springfield – Hooplandia 2025 officially started playing with the first round of matches of the tournament on Saturday at the Eastern States exhibition.
Basketball players of all ages competed in the 75 basketball courts, with about 1,000 registered competitors to participate this weekend.
Torrential rain and trunks storms have plagiarized the new Springfield 3×3 basketball festival in each of its first two years. Fortunately, the skies were clear, but with the temperature of 90 degrees and a relentless sun that went down to the festival attendees, staying hydrated was of the highest priority for the attendees.

The ex -NBA champion, Brian Scalabrine, made a free basketball clinic in Hoooplandia 2025 on the outdoor window court.
Initially intended for children under the age of 18, Scaabrine ordered everyone on the court, including adults, to take a ball.
“Let’s work on,” Scalabrine said.
Scalabrine put its participants through a series of basic drills of manipulation of balls and distribution lines, emphasizing the needs of the game: rhythm, aggression, and most importantly, fun.
“I love basketball, I knew we would have fun in the end by playing (searches),” said Scaabrine afterwards. “But I am a great believer you work and then you enjoy the game … instead of saying” Hey I’m Brian Scalabrine, I’m a celebrity, “we just go to work, right?”
Currently, Boston Celtics television analyst, Scalabrine played 11 years in the NBA after being drafted with the 34th election of the 2001 NBA project at South California University.
“(When) I grew up playing, there were Hoop it up In Seattle, they closed a mall and you are playing on the streets, “said Scabrine.” I remember these things. I won (a) Junior College Championship, I went to Elite Eight (i) I won a NBA championship: I (still) remember those moments (in Seattle), they are basic memories.
“It was me and my friends, we try to win and their intense and there are people there and the music and there is discussion, all this brought to the character I am.”
Scalabrine also noted what the beneficiaries organized for young children, both on the court and outside the court, can be beneficiaries.
“I love the 3×3 format,” Scaabrine stormed. “… a child will find out what (they are) in fact, a child will be motivated to lose, a child will be motivated to gain. He could be an experience that changes life for them.
“I have my own AAU team, Mamba white. We believe in instilling hard work and (eat) your daily vitamins, get a routine where you enter a gym and warm up -you are preparing to succeed. This is what sports do in general, it keeps you responsible. “
Jumpsbychi helping athletes to reach new heights

Chidebe ‘Chi’ Ndibe, better known as ‘Jumsbychi’ Tiktok and InstagramHe offered a free jump clinic for children to put their ability to jump on the test.
As soon as NDIBE established the Vert coach, the challengers aligned themselves without invitation to show the hops.
“It’s an impressive tool,” said Ndibe. “… everyone wants to climb, jump as much as possible and listen to the bell.
“(When) they have this goal (which) want to come (i) when you repeatedly do it, this is a great way to improve your jump.”
Based in Connecticut, the 27 -year -old grew up in a family where athletics was embedded in his life. Ndibe pointed out his passion for basketball and track and growing field, and how he is using this passion to help inspire young children and adults to achieve their full potential.
“I love to connect -with people, see people get out of their comfort zone and go to find things that do not normally do,” said Ndibe.
