Dacula, Georgia -In a Burger King in Dacula, Georgia, Mykale Baker, 18, is known for his work character. He presents himself early, is late and looks at all changes as a privilege.
“I like to help people and not expect anything new,” Baker told CBS News. “This is me.”
This work ethic created a good karma for Baker.
“I knew all the good I put there will be back in some way,” said Baker.
Baker’s High School’s graduation night came in May. He left the ceremony and fell by Burger King to eat late. It was when he realized that his companions were absolutely affected by commands.
At this point, most teenagers would have been happy with the night and were on their way. But Baker did what Baker does.
“It wasn’t even underway,” Baker said. “I just put gloves and said,” What do you all need? “”
So, with their graduation and the medals they still turned their neck, Baker jumped on the line.
All things were trapped on the camera by client Maria Mendoza, who couldn’t believe her eyes.
“There are not many people who are like that,” said Mendoza. “… thirteen years of school, you graduate. The last thing I would think is that someone would go to work!”
Mendoza was so impressed that he published the online video and launched a crowdfunding campaign to reward Baker for his integrity and dedication.
The campaign has raised more than $ 200,000. Baker plans to use this money to go to the School of Commerce, becomes an automatic mechanic and finally opening his own store.
The Burger King Foundation later surprised Baker with $ 10,000. The foundation also gave Mendoza $ 10,000 for his daughter, Daizie, who also graduated from high school.
Baker said his mother, Demeshiah Scott, always taught him to work hard, even if you think that no one is watching, because he never knows when someone is.
