Worcester’s Red Sox were embedded by Scranton/Wilkes-Barre railriders in a 3-0 defeat on Saturday at PNC Field.
Scranton (25-28) took a 1-0 lead at the end of the third in a solo house led by Dominic Smith, who sent a fly ball over the fence of the right field. The railriders added two more runs to the fifth post: Jesús Rodríguez scored in a simple RBI by Alex Jackson and Jake Gatewood crossed the plaque to get the score.
Worcester (27-28) fought on the plate, managing only five times and nine walks while getting ten times in the loss of detachment.
Scranton’s headline, Allan Winans, improved up to 4-0 in the season, throwing 5.1 tickets without score with three attacks and an age of 0.27. Worcester’s Tyler Uberstine suffered his first loss of the year, allowing three tours won in 5.1 tickets with three attacks and one was 3.52.
The loss marks the third of Worcester in the six-game series, as they are now heading to Scranton 3-2.
The Woosox aims to divide the series into the Sunday final, scheduled for 13:05, before Polar Park again for a six -game house against Rochester from Tuesday, June 3.
