Mass. man falls nearly 20 feet from cliff at North Shore state park



A man from Massachusetts fell almost 20 meters from a rock -in a state park on the north shore on Sunday morning.

The incident happened shortly before 10:51 May 11 at the saugus rupture reserve, according to the Saugus firefighters.

The 31-year-old man was on a cliff in a remote area of ​​the reserve when he fell between 12 and 18 feet on the ground, said the department.

The man was able to call 911 for help, and the emergency offices coordinated with the department to identify his exact location through the call data on the call, according to fire captain Chris Rizza.

The Saugus Firefighters used off -road vehicles to reach the man, who had several minor injuries, said the department.

The 31 -year -old was taken to the hospital as a precaution due to the height of which he fell, but he was expected to survive, said Rizza.
