A flood clock has been published for some parts of Massachusetts in the afternoon of Thursday night as the rain approaches to finish the week.
Thursday will begin dry and warm, with temperatures reaching the mid -70’s throughout the state, according to the National Meteorological Service.
The sun periods are expected throughout the day, although the skies could partially end up in most cloudy after sunrise. The winds must be light and variable, with some coastal areas that experience sea breezes in the middle of the morning.
But on Thursday night, heavy rains and storms go to the track to return.
The Meteorological Service has issued a flood clock for the counties of Western and Central Massachusetts, from Thursday night and continuing until Saturday morning.
The “widespread” rain is expected to begin in the west of Massachusetts on Thursday afternoon and move east. During this time scattered showers and isolated storms can be noted.
The precipitation levels will be “moderated by heavy” at night as it moves in the warm air, although “more constant” rainfall will not be able to reach the eastern Massachusetts until later on Friday.
Temperatures are expected to fall in the 40’s and 50’s during the Thursday night, according to forecasts.
The “soaking rain” should continue throughout the state throughout the day of Friday. This could lead to up to two centimeters in Rain in Western Massachusetts, while the eastern parts of the state may receive less than one inch.
While “it is not a flash flood scenario”, forecasts care, precipitation could cause floods to rivers, coves, streams and other low and flood -prone locations.
According to forecasts, temperature highs can only reach the 50’s on Friday and could be even lower in the 1940’s in the northern parts of Spain.
The rain should decrease throughout the state on Saturday, with some persistent showers in the morning until a gradual split in the afternoon. According to predictors, temperatures will remain below normal.
