A couple who recently bought a victorian property They are currently being renewed, they have been amazed by the historical treasures they discovered inside their walls and under their boards.
Amanda and Vinny, of New JerseyThey are struggling to restore their nineteenth -century home to their “ancient glory” and have been sharing their journey to social media. What began as a unique video of Tiktok revealing old -screen layers and newspapers hidden under the current screen background, quickly evolved into a series of the platform as they continued to discover more relics of the past years. His explorations culminated in a compilation video that Amanda also published in Tiktok, emphasizing his favorite discoveries in recent months.
“I think we have come to the end of finding all the old things now, so I wanted to make a video of the favorite things we have found,” he said at the beginning of the video.
He started with what he initially thought was a horn, but soon discovered that it was an ancient chest bomb. “Not on my bingo card,” he joked. “A vintage chest pump on the walls of my house, so fresh.”
Amanda then presented a box of Egyptian cigarettes by M. Melachrino since the early 1900’s, followed by a wood yo-yo. “Some people have said that it can be worth a lot of money,” he excited.
Continuing his show, Amanda showed several old -fashioned congratulation cards with handwritten notes to a previous homeowner, as well as his book by Greenwich Savings Bank. “What is really fantastic is the age he has,” he expressed eagerly. “The dates say 1921.”
Any other place, among the most intriguing discoveries of Amanda, was a headed newspaper headed “2 bandits killed”, dated Monday, February 2, 1931, and a PIN badge of Alfred E. Smith’s presidential campaign of 1928.
Amanda and Vinny also discovered a top wood spinning part, an assortment of glass jugs containing gray hair dye and baby powder. “These are my favorites actually,” said Amanda, showing a toy soldier and a wooden sailor figurine.
Surrounding his plot of treasures, he showed a stack of handwritten letters since 1931, a brochure entitled “The truth about Catholics”, a versatile metal tool and a wooden track.
“Everyone has wondered what I will do with all these things,” Amanda thought. “I definitely want to show it in some way; there is a curio case in a room that finally I want to turn into a library, so I think I could go in -I think it would be great to have a small house museum.
“We have also contacted the city historian who came and looked at all the things that have the name of the city and I have given part to the historical society of the city.”
By reacting to its publication, a Tiktok user proposed: “You should create some kind of view hanging for the wall and put the favorite findings. That would be so great!”
Another suggested: “You should frame some of the letters and notes and make a collage wall in a room in the house, only to keep part of the character of those who lived there.”
A third person exclaimed: “What a treasure TRA!” While a quarter was humorous: “He is giving a story of North -American horror. It is better to be nice with these spirits!”
