Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut give us an awards season preview on Monday announce the nominees for the Golden Globes 2025 for each of the 27 award categories, with 10 of the nominations revealed exclusively on “CBS Mornings.”
It’s another big year for TV and film, full of exciting seasons, popular sequels and record-breaking achievements. During the summer, ‘Inside Out 2’ beat ‘Frozen 2’ becoming the highest-grossing animated film of all time. Meanwhile, Disney’s “Moana 2” only set a Thanksgiving box office record while “Wicked” and “Gladiator II” battled for ticket sales.
In 2024, ‘Barbie’ and ‘Succession’ were the big names, each tied nine candidaciesfollowed by “Oppenheimer” with eight.
Nikki Glaser will be the the first woman to be a solo presenter the Golden Globes, which will air live on CBS on Sunday, January 5 at 8:00 PM ET and air on Paramount+. Glaser called the opportunity “scary” but “exciting,” but said he was up to the challenge.
