A worker from Massachusetts had to be rescued on Tuesday after being trapped inside a 100 -foot water tower in the air.
Around 15:21 Tuesday, a 911 call was made about a medical event in Sandy Pond’s Water Tower of Yarmouth, the Yarmouth Fire Brigade said in a statement. When the Fire Corps arrived, they discovered that a cell worker was trapped inside the water tower.
The Fire Corps used ropes to help remove the worker from the water tower. The person was taken to the hospital.
This type of rescue has increased, said the Fire Corps, adding that they continue to add training. One of the firefighters had recently graduated in a class of 4 -day string rescue technicians.
