I recently encountered several articles on the Mexican VBC world champion, Salvador Sanchez, 44-1-1, with 32 nockations. It is an impressive record.

The only time I’ve ever seen the Sanchezo in September 1980. years, winning most decisions about Gumanin Patrik Ford, 16-0, when he was 36-1-1, at Freeman Coliseum, in San Antonio, Texas. I thought Ford did enough to make a decision.
Sanchez would cross his next seven fights before he lost his life in the auto-collision 12. August 1982, collided with a truck while speeding up, according to the police report.
Sanchez won the title, stopping Danny’s red “Lopez, 42-3, in February 1980, Vilfredo Gomez, 32-0-1, in August 1981. He would beat his next three fights, which ended by stopping the future Azumah Champion Nelson, 13-0, in Madison Square Garden.
Looking at the great world super featherter, light and lightweight Welter Champion Julio ‘JC’ Chavez, 107-6-2 with 85 knockouts compared to some 29 titles defenses.
Chavez won Roger Maweather, Rocky Laport, Rafael Limon, Jose Luis Ramirez, Samma Fuentes, Meldrick Taylor, Lonnie Taylor, Hector Camacho, Giovanski Randall, Giovanni Parisi and Joei Gagrache. Lost in Randall, Oscar de la Hoya and Kostia Tsziu.
Both fighters are installed in the International House of Fame.
