As Hollywood Week ends in the 23rd season of “American Idol”, program fans are a step closer to selecting the next winner.
Judges Lionel Richie, Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan confirmed all members of the Top 24 of the episode of Monday night’s song competition, which showed 42 hopeful “idol” who entered a “head of head” challenge.
Contestants who advanced during Monday night episode include Thunderstorm Artis, Drew Ryn, Ché Chesterman, Penny Samar, Grayson Torrence, Mky, Josh King, Victor Solomon, Amanda Barise, Kyana Fanene, Slater Nalley, Kolbi Jordan, Filo, John Foster, Olivier Bergeron, Baylee Littrell, Isaiah Misalegalu, Desmond Robert Jamal Roberts and Breanna Nix.
The 20 contenders join Gabby Samone, Zaylie Windsor, Mattie Pruitt and Canaan James Hill, who took their place in the first 24 during the Sunday night’s “Showstoppers” episode.
When the final round of Hollywood week was concluded, the judges shared news about the next phase of the competition, which will take place in Aulani, a Disney and Spa center in Ko Olina, Hawaii.
“We will take a very special place where dreams have come true,” said Bryan.
“Let’s go home in Hawaii, I can’t believe it!” said Thunderstorm Artis, who was born in the state.
The next two episodes of the competition will take place in the complex, which was previously presented in the 20, 21 and 22 seasons. For the first time this season, viewers will be able to vote for their favorite performers and help to decide who advances in the competition.
