The main singer of a classic rock group will not join the group in a new chain of shows.
Foreigner replaces current leader Kelly Hansen with the guest vocalist Geordie Brown with a series of new Canadian tour dates on the band Farewell tour.
After starting the tour in 2023, Foreigner has expanded the hike so far including 13 dates throughout Canada.
Brown is perhaps better known for his role in his own “Jukebox Hero – The musical” of abroad. The singer has performed with the band several times since he played the main role in the musical in 2018.
Brown performed “Hot Blooded” with Foreigner during the 2019 band in Halifax and also in Foreigner’s Induction of the Rock & Roll Fame Show by 2024. Brown will also play his role again in “Jukebox Hero” for his next 2026 race.
“I was more impressed by the performances of Geordie by Juke Box Hero, the musical in Canada,” said the abroad guitarist Mick Jones Billboard Canada. “He is not just a consummated vocalist, but also a Broadway verified actor to start. We hope to welcome our shows on the Canadian tour of 2025 abroad.”
“I am so fortunate that they are taking me in this next chapter with the musical and this Canadian tour,” Brown said in the statement. “Right now, I really look forward to our Halifax program, for my crowd in the hometown.”
No reason has been given why Hansen, who joined Foreigner in 2005, will not join the tour.
Foreigner is a classic rock band known for mega-sale’s successes like “Hot Blooded”, “Cold As Ice” and “It feels like the first time.” Jones is the only original member of abroad still with the band, although he no longer acts due to Parkinson’s disease. The rest of the foreigner is made up of Jeff Pilson, Michael BluesteinBruce Watson and Chris Frazier.
The next dates of Foreigner tour include a show of August 5 at South Shore Music Circus In cohes.
