Schumer bows to GOP and Trump signals advancing bill ahead of government shutdown deadline

The bill, approved by the House earlier this week, will probably need eight Democrats of the Senate to vote in favor to erase the 60 votes voting threshold. Until Thursday, Schumer and other Democrats indicated that they would not vote to advance in a large part of partisan resolution
