Former Boston ICE office director selected to lead national agency as acting director



The former director of the United States immigration and customs office (ICE) has been selected by the Trump administration to run the National Agency Office.

The Secretary of National Security, Kristi Noem, announced the appointment of Todd Lyons as Ice Acting Director A post on social media and interview with CBS News Sunday.

Noem also announced that Louisiana’s Secretary of Wild Life and Fisheries, Madison Sheahan, would act as an Ice Deputy Director. Sheahan previously worked as an assistant to Noem as a South Dakota governor.

“Todd Lyons and Madison Sheahan are work horses, strong executors, and responsible leaders who will direct men and women of ice to achieve the north -American mandate -American to guide, arrest and deport illegal aliens,” the Secretary of National Security on social media wrote.

The appointments of Lyons and Sheahan follow the reassignment of the former ice director, Caleb Vitello, to a non -administrative position on February 21. Leadership changed to ICE occurs in the midst of Trump’s administration’s frustrations that their plans for mass deportations have become slower than officials they want.
