Washington — President Trump pronounced remarks to his opening ceremony on Monday, setting out his vision for the nation and his project for his second term.

The president took the oath of office, administered by Chief Justice John Roberts, shortly after 12:00 pm EST on January 20. The ceremony was originally to be held on the west front of the US Capitol, but it was moved inside in the Rotunda due to the cold temperatures in Washington, DC

The ceremony was assisted by President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, all three living former presidents and two vice presidents, including Mike Pence, who served alongside Trump during his first term. Other attendees included all members of the Supreme Court, Congress leadership, family members and others.

Mr. Trump invited the CEOs of the country’s biggest tech companies, including Elon Musk, owner of X and Tesla, Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, and Mark Zuckerberg, who started Facebook, to sit on the platform.

What did Trump say in his inauguration speech?

Mr. Trump’s speech he lasted nearly 30 minutes, during which he said he is inheriting a nation in “decline” with poor education and public health systems.

“My recent election is a mandate to completely and utterly reverse a horrible betrayal, and all these many betrayals that have taken place, and give back to the American people their faith, their wealth, their democracy, and indeed the their freedom,” he said.

Mr. Trump outlined his plans for his four years in office, as well as the executive actions he plans to take now that he has assumed the presidency.

“From this moment on, America’s decline is over,” he said.
