Ryan Garcia vs. Isaac Cruz and Devin Haynie vs. Jose Ramirez will fight in a doubleheader at the DAZN PPV in May at Times Square in New York City. This will be one of Turki Al-Sheikh’s big cards and will set the table for the October rematch between Ryan and Hani in Riyadh.
Doubleheader in May
Kingry (24-1, 20 KOs) has an easier fight against former WBA light heavyweight champion ‘Pitbull’ Cruz (26-3-1, 18 KOs). While it’s not an easy fight for Ryan, it’s less risky than the one Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) is up against, against the former WBC and WBO 140lb champion Jose Ramirez (29-2, 18 KOs).
Devin is going up against a really good 2012 Olympian fighter, Ramirez, 32, and there’s a good chance he loses to this guy because he can punch and has great technical skills. However, Turki probably won’t care if Hannay wins because he has a different philosophy about sticking with losing fighters. Fans will still want to see a rematch between Garcia and Henny in October, regardless of what happens to Henny against Ramirez.
“Sources have revealed plans for a May feature at TIMES SQUARE 🗽🍎 and outdoors, including Ryan Garcia-Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz, Devin Haney-Jose Ramirez, as part of the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves launch from SNK and Ring Magazine #ESPNKnockOut “said Salvador Rodriguez Ks.
