Simple Life

8pm, BBC Three
Twenty years ago, millennials re-show hit gold in this show in which two of LA’s richest, most famous girls – Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie – undermined their faith to live and (too heartily) work with American families. 00s nostalgia is strong in this series, and as silly fun as ever. HR

The Silent Witness

9pm, BBC One
We last saw eccentric profiler Jane De Freitas (Zoe Telford) a decade ago when the Lyell Center team crack down on a sneaky sniper. He is now leading an investigation into the brutal murder of an agent with an involvement in the past. All the signs point to a revenge killing, but what does it have to do with the state? Graeme Virtue

24 Hour Watch: Norfolk Narco Cartel

Equal parts documentary and thriller, this episode of the crime series introduces some police action that goes beyond its initial brief. When drugs are found hidden in equipment that is being sought in the UK, Norfolk police are keeping tabs on the items and will follow the items to their final destination. What a leap into the world of American drug cartels they find. Phil Harrison

Danielle Macdonald, late of Traveler, is a compelling central figure in Jeremy Jasper’s 8-mile-adjacent story of the aspiration of a New Jersey kidnapper. Patti to a failed singer’s mum (Bridget Everett), killer P to Siddharth Dhananjay’s thug Jheri, Dumbo to his dissident peers, he moves from hip-hop braggadocio to real-world desperation as he dreams of escaping a life of trafficking and foot traffic. Could the anarchist pulse maker Basterd (Mamoudou Athie) be the solution? Simon Wardell
