Errol Spence vs Sebastian Fundora: Fight March 29 in Las Vegas

WBC and WBO junior middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora will fight Errol Spence, tentatively scheduled for March 29 in Las Vegas. The fight is still under negotiation.

Former unified light heavyweight champion Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) will be out of action for 20 months when his fight with ‘The Towering Inferno’ Fundor (21-1-1, 13 KOs) takes place.

Errol turns 35 on March 3rd. The fight is expected to be shown on PBC on Prime Video PPV. No word on pay-per-view pricing yet, but it’s likely to be close to the $80 range.

@FerSabatiniBok and @DanRafael1 broke the news about Fundor vs. Spence on March 29th.

Errol’s recent setbacks

Spence is coming off a ninth-round knockout loss to Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford on July 29, 2023. Errol took a lot of punishment in that fight and was never competitive. Physically, he didn’t look like the fighter he was in 2018 and earlier in his career. Some believe that a combination of injuries Spence suffered in a 2019 car accident, sparring, inactivity, weight gain and age have taken a lot out of him.

The 6’5″ Fundora is coming off a long layoff himself, having last fought on April 30, 2024, defeating WBO 154 lb champion Tim Tsziu by split decision over 12 rounds. It was a grueling fight for both, leaving Tszyu a bloody mess from a clash of heads earlier in the fight.
