Teofimo Lopez took to social media today to complain about Top Rank, saying yes “too expensive” for them and blaming President Todd DeBoeuf.
Lopez claims that DuBoeuf doesn’t “like” him and his father since 2018, which is why he’s not getting the important matches he wants. Fans see this more as a case of Teofimo (21-1, 13 KOs) failing to play.
He lost to George Kambossos Jr. and has fought many fights since moving up to 140 in 2022. He’s been sounding wacky more often with his rants on social media, talking about this and that.
Teofimo says he wants his “redemption number.” This is something he already asked for in a recent post on Ks.
Past Performance
WBO light heavyweight champion Lopez, 27, wants fights against Devin Haney, Terence Crawford, Gervonta Davis, Ryan Garcia and Jeron ‘Boot’ Ennis. However, these struggles have so far been elusive. He is not popular enough to get them, and his many poor performances over the last four years have contributed to that.
Lopez looked like 24,000 gold in the first four years of his career from 2016 to 2020, but hasn’t been able to play at the same level since 2021. It’s clear to fans that Teofimo was fool’s gold from the start, and he was never as good as he was the public thought.
His narrow victory over the injured, one-armed, older and much smaller Vasily Lomachenko was a turning point in Theo’s career. From then on it was all downhill with his fights against these guys:
– Steve Claggett
– Jamaine Ortiz
– Josh Taylor
– Sandor Martin
– Pedro Campa
– George Kambosos Jr
The top ranking was maintained Head of Theophimus above the waterline according to how they have been with him in the last four years. If they put him in a fight with one of the killers he’s whining about, he’d lose many times over and be useless to them. Anyway, it’s pretty much. Teofim’s comments outside the ring make him difficult to like, and some fans question his sanity.
A history of dislikes?
I’m too expensive for TopRank, but the truth is that Todd DeBouf is the problem here. I don’t like me or my father since I started THE TAKEOVER EST. 2018 and probably ahead. Now he’s the president of TopRank, so people are counting. By law I have freedom of speech 🔺👁 #Boxing
