Boston police investigate death of man found shot in parking lot



Boston police are investigating the death of a man who was found shot to death in a parking lot Saturday night.

Officers responded to 140 Main Street in Charlestown shortly after 10:30 p.m. for a report that a pedestrian had been hit by a car. police said in a press release. At the scene, they found a man lying on the ground in the parking lot.

Officers soon discovered the man had been shot, police said. First responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the man’s death, the department said. Anyone with information is “strongly urged” to contact the unit at 617-343-4470.
