A Holbrook man is facing a new felony charge after prosecutors say he killed a Weymouth woman and injured several people, including himself, in a drunken driving crash in Braintree in December.

Ryan Gorman, 39, was arraigned Thursday in Quincy District Court and charged with motor vehicle homicide while driving under the influence of alcohol, the Norfolk County district attorney said. He pleaded not guilty and will return to court on March 6.

Gorman is free on a $5,000 cash bond that was set and posted after his preliminary appearance on Dec. 2, the district attorney said.

During his Accusation December 2he was charged with three counts of drink driving causing grievous bodily harm, negligent driving to endanger and failure to drive in marked lanes.

Gorman was charged after prosecutors say he was driving a pickup truck drunk and hit an SUV in a head-on crash on Dec. 1.

The crash, which happened around 12:50 a.m. at 655 Union St. of Braintree, injured four people, including Gorman, the district attorney said. Alexia Nixon, 18, of Weymouth, was a passenger in the SUV and later died of her injuries at Boston Medical Center on Dec. 10.

Gorman was ordered to stay away from and have no contact with Nixon’s family. As a condition of his release, Gorman was also ordered to wear an alcohol-detecting ankle bracelet.
