Netflix viewers were left saddened by the removal of his most underrated original TV series.
Every month, licensed movies and TV shows are removed because of the rights regarding how long they are allowed to be in service.
It’s long been believed that an original series developed by Netflix — or indeed acquired by the streaming service after it was canceled elsewhere — will always be available to watch.
However, as of 2022, it has become clear that this is not the case, as many titles have been released under the “Netflix Original” label. they are removed every month. The latest victim – British comedy series Lovesick – particularly angered subscribers.
Lovesickwhich premiered as Scrotal Recall Channel 4 In 2014, he was taken over by Netflix when the show was canceled after just one season. It was released as a Netflix Original in the US in 2015.
After becoming a streaming hit overseas, the service launched two more seasons, which brought back actors Johnny Flynn, Antonia Thomas, Daniel Ings and Joshua McGuire.
By removing the show from Netflix’s library, the third season has essentially been erased from existence and is not available to watch online.
“It happened… Lovesick has disappeared from #Netflix. This is TERRIBLE. Also, you can buy episodes on Apple TV, YouTube, and Prime Video, but *only* seasons 1 and 2. Season 3 is completely gone,” one fan wrote.
“I just found out Lovesick has been removed from Netflix and now I’m sick – my favorite British rom-com will be so missed,” added another, while one person said: “Just learned today Lovesick downloaded from netflix. It’s so evil.”
Another subscriber complained: “Why do we have to pay for these apps and then turn around and have to pay for episodes when these shows are removed?”
