He said, “A good English, so beautiful … Where did you learn to speak so beautifully? Where were you educated?” After Mr. Boakai appeared to laugh, Trump asked, “In Liberia?” To which the leader replied, “Yes, sir.”
Trump continued later: “It’s very interesting, it’s a beautiful English. I have people at this table that can’t speak almost too.” English is the official language of Liberia, which was established in the early 1800’s with the aim of moving the African slaves released and the U.S. -free black citizens.
The capital of the country, Monrovia, was called James Monroe, the fifth President of the United States. Monroe, who was a slave throughout his life, was in favor of the effort to establish Liberia as a state for North -Riberated North slaves.
White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly called Trump’s statements “a cordial fulfillment during a meeting that marked a historical moment for US-Africa relations.” But the President of the United States has mocked online because he appeared without knowing that everyone in Liberia speaks English and the 64 -year -old actor Chris, known to portray Nypd Detective Elliot Stabler in the legal dramaturgy series of NBC Law & Order, had a harsh critic for Trump, as published in X, “F —– G.
