Outlander star on key advice he gave Dougal co-star about ‘complex’ character

Actor Outlander Graham Mctaysh spoke exclusively to reach the time of screen

Graham Mctavish, better known for his role as Dougal Mackenzie in Outlander, has recently shared the guide he offered to a fellow actor from the next series of the Blood of My Blood series, reports The Scottish Daily Express.

Mctavish, who portrayed the Cap of War complex, had a conversation with Sam Retford, the actor who performed a younger version of Dougal. During his talk, Mctavish shared valuable information about the character, emphasizing that the multifaceted personality of Dogal should always always be more in his head.

He revealed the time of the screen: “I said, first of all, he is a complex character. One minute you will hate him, the following minute you will love and said that it is important to remember -“

To offer a real portrait, Mctavish emphasized that the actions of Dogal are motivated by a general objective: the restoration of the Stuart monarchy. He said, “Also, remember that Dogal does everything for a superojective, and my superojective was the restoration of the Stuart’s monarchy. That was. Everything else led to this.”

He also elaborated that this singular approach justifies the actions that Dogal can take, no matter how not favorable. “So, I can deceive, I can kill, I can lie, I can do anything as long as it is for this cause.”

Mctavish encouraged Retford to consider this crucial feature of characters, as he embodies a younger version of Dougal.

In the next Blood of My Blood series, Dougal de Retford joins Seamus Mclean Ross as his brother Column, sailing on clan politics after his father Red Jacob Mackenzie Fos (Peter Mullan).

In addition, the story explores the brothers’ efforts to organize an advantageous marriage to her sister Ellen (performed by Harriet Slater), achieving the future of the clan.

The new series will show the growth and evolution of the Dogal character, including the family visits to Outlander’s fans. Ellen could be elaborating his own plans, especially after ranging with Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy) at the great meeting after Jacob’s passage.

Outlander’s highest season saw Dogal’s timeless departure when a skirmish with his nephew Jamie Fraser (Sam Heghan) and Claire Fraser (Caitríona Balfe), Jamie’s wife, killed.

Dogal was characterized by his suspicious and combative nature, but he had a strong eye for women throughout his term in Outlander.

The expectations are scheduled for Young Dougal to inherit some of these characteristics, with the show that indicates the tributes to the original series for fans of fans.

Despite the fact that McTaysh’s character Dougal has known his years ago, the actor portrayed him again for the seventh season this year. This appearance represented the crucial encounter between Dougal and Geillis Duncan (Lotte Verbeek).

Mctavish continues to keep his bonds with his actor Heaghan, co-collecting the Starz Travelogue, Men in Kilts.

Although he has ever been seen since they were seen, Mctavish shares: “We send ourselves a message all the time.”
