The endurance event will see Horrocks fleeing John O’Groats until the end of the country in just 20 days, doubling about 44 miles a day. She went on the road from 880 miles on Friday 27. June.
It is considered to collect £ 30,000 to buy 20 defibrillators, which will put in the UK gyms across the country and to finance their challenge.

Her Gofundme Funriser has already hit over £ 15,000. She said, “I chose the defibs as I don’t want the machines to be used in the first place … They will potentially preserve one’s life and maintain a family for longer. I have investigations in my heart for the last few years due to an abnormal electrocardiogram (ECG).
“I realized how important it is to close the defibs. I want to buy as much as possible; the more definitions I buy more life we save.”

Horrocks, a qualified coach and triathlite, found scars of tissue and reverse t-waves on the ECG, a test that records the electrical activity of the heart. She added: “Heart arrest It can happen to anyone, anywhere. Only 8.3 percent of those 85,783 out of hospital cases in England in 2023. It was defibrillator. I want to change that. ”
Her father Michael will support her on the road, and Mrs. Horrocks was released on his first night of his challenge to his spaghetti bolognosis.

Speaking in YouTube video describing her new challenge, Ms. Horrocks told me, I always told me if you live in my house, so I went into fans and swimming classes where I found my love for sports. “
With reference to how she discovered that she came to her heart, she said, “They did it called a heart rate risk and everyone was coming out by saying,” My heart is fine. “I came in and said,” Oh, Ellie sat down for me. “I’m brigades I think something is wrong.
“My t waves were upside down … I had to go and have tests. Basically they said you couldn’t play sports if it’s worse … if it’s in the head in training pretty heavy.”
She said the hardest part of her John O’Groate would be able to probably be if he gets any injuries, but it would be mentally fine for more than 880 miles.
