Mass. teen’s death in N.H. shooting ruled a homicide; investigation ongoing



An Orange teenager, Massachusetts, died in a shootout that researchers have determined to be a manslaughter in Keene, according to New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella Wednesday.

On Wednesday morning, Kenene police received a 911 call about a person who was shot in a car park on Winchester Street, said the Formella office in a statement.

Police arrived and found Christian Walker, 17, and took him to the Cheshire Medical Center, the statement was read. Walker declared dead at 1:49 in the morning

Following an autopsy this afternoon, the associated medical examiner, Dr. Abigail Alexander, concluded that the cause of Walker’s death was a unique wound in the abdomen, the formella office said. Walker’s death was governed a homicide.

“Although the exact circumstances that surround the shot are maintained under active investigation, all parties have been identified and at this time there is no threat known to the general public,” the statement read.

The Formella Office did not provide any information on a possible suspect or if there has been arrests.
