Giving a hat from Tar Heels Tar Heels Dudes over types with gronk and julesFormer patriot Rob Ninkovich described his trip to North Carolina to visit with his former coach Bill Belichick.
According to Ninkovich, not only Belichick will have to adjust to a different play style, but he will have to do so with a different level of players.
“I was surprised that he assumed this job, I think we were all a bit shocked and surprised,” said Ninkovich. “I think the challenge is to try to get the most out of a list with less talent.”
Ninkovich emphasized that even the NFL Squad Squad Dwads university teams with less talented in terms of skill level.
“The worst NFL team is more talented, we are facing,” said Ninkovich. “You could have the NFL (explosive) football team and you have a full list of tacos. So I think it can be a little harder to get the most out of some of these children who, be -ne, 1, 2, or maybe 3 are NFL caliber players.”
Ninkovich asked Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski how his college teams were seen and what kind of talent they produced.
Edelman playing Kent State and Gronkowski in Arizona, both agreed that there were a maximum of three or four players from their teams who played in the NFL.
When he was talking about the talent discrepancy, Ninkovich also said that Belichick’s UNC team will not even bring even the most talented players to college.
“All college teams probably have three Max, NFL Caliber players,” said Ninkovich. “Some have one, some have none. If you are in Alabama you will have eight to ten.”
With the new landscape of university football, including the list on the list in some of the largest programs in the country, Ninkovish said that Belichick has to make sure to take the leaked players.
“You have to bring some talent,” Ninkovich said. “I know that the Big-10, some of these great schools have to reduce their list because there are no longer. So if you are Chapel Hill, you are trying to pick up these boys through the free agency.”
The other great concern that Ninkovich moved away from his visit to Chapel Hill is the age group of university players these days. Super Bowl’s former champion said that when he played college, he never took a Redshirt year, and when he joined the project he was only 21 years old.
Ninkovich said he still met some of these 18 -year first year students during his visit, but with the transfer and Covid rules now, the age gap between them and the older players on the list is massive.
“My newbie season was 22,” said Ninkovich. “Many of these children, Redshirt, Gray T -shirt, transfer year, Covid Year. You have 24 -year -old children and other 18 -year -olds, so you have a great age discrepancy.”
