Holyoke police save man from burning car



Holyoke-Two City Police Agents with the help of a passenger rescued a 29-year-old man from a burning vehicle on Saturday.

The two officers, Genesis Saenz and Yashira Loyd, were at the scene of an accident at Jackson’s intersection and the commercial streets at 2:15 am when they felt another The driver crashed against a tree near the north exit ramp of the Intersate-391, said Police Chief Brian Keenan in a statement.

The officers ran and saw that the driver was trapped and apparently unconscious. Keenan said the flames fired from below the hood and the smoke was filling the vehicle.
