Doecii has publicly ridiculed Donald Trump for registering the military to stop the recent immigration protests in California.
The rapper took a moment to address the situation while she accepted The prize for the best female hip hop artist at the BET Awards Monday night, June 9.
“There are rugged attacks that create fear and chaos in our communities in the name of the law and order,” Douchii said while on stage.
“Trump is using military forces to stop a protest,” the rapper continued. “I want it to consider what kind of government seems to be when every time we exercise our democratic right to protest, the military unfolds against us.”
Douchii’s comments responded to Trump’s deployment of thousands of members of the National Guard for immigration protests that exploded in Los Angeles over the weekend.
