Lauren Lyle has been a regular face on television screens in recent years, thanks to his role as Marsali Mackimmie Fraser in Outlander, but also directed the drama ITV Karen Pirie.
Writer and actress Emer Kenny has left advice on the return of ITV detective, Karen Pirie, with a second season, with Outlander’s protagonist, Lauren Lyle, at the helm.
Released in 2022, the bankruptcy series is inspired by the pages of the convincing novels of Inspector Karen Pirie de Val McDermid, which shows Lauren in the main role.
The show, a creation of the minds behind television, such as Line of Duty and Bodyguard, emits Lauren as “young and fearsome Scottish researcher with a fast mouth and a tenacious desire for truth.”
In its opening career, the series follows its character as it goes into the case of 25 -year murder of Rosie Duff, a Sirviid who faced a brutal assault, stabbing and died.
A real podcast of crimes resurrects interest in the case, doing a task at DS Karen with their review.
Throughout his investigation of three suspects that were not loaded before, numerous dark secrets and falsehoods go out as he sails through the darkened motifs that could cause the true murderer.
The audiences shown to the show with acclamation, winning -a 91% stellar qualification in Rotten Tomatoes and praise for his British crime drama, enriched with a modern appearance.
Returning to The Limelight, the former Easter star Emer, who co -writes and starred in Karen Pirie, shared exciting news about the next series in a radio interview.
“My program, Karen Pirie, the second season coming out this summer,” he excited, adding: “It’s really exciting, because it’s been a while since we have finished shooting it.
“So I’m just pumped to be in the world at ITV on Sunday night.”
He suggested an exciting plot: “This time it is a kidnapping of a billionaire heiress, so it is a little more epic, a little older and I am very excited by people to see.”
After enjoying a “really nice” reaction in the starting season, Emer continued to express his desire to deliver to the fans “something that is just as good.”
The next second season will adapt the second novel, a darker dominance, of the McDermid series in three two -hour episodes.
Lauren enthusiastically spoke of the new series, saying: “I am delighted that we will continue the life of our fearful young detective Karen Pirie and, of course, his bumbag. I have known the show for some time behind the stage, so it has been a joy to see that the audiences want more.
“It is a creative honor to work with Emer Kenny with the spine of Val McDermid’s story. Season 1 was incredibly exciting, building an original character we had not seen before. I hope to meet the gang again and finally answer the question:” Please say there will be a season 2? “with an” oh yes “.”
ITV aroused the excitement of the next story, sharing: “In this second season, Karen reopened the research on the unresolved abduction of a young heiress and his son in 1985.”
