Bradley International Airport Receives Recognition for Concession Upgrades

The Airport Authority of Connecticut (CAA) is pleased to announce that the updates of the concession to Bradley International Airport (BDL) were recently named “Airport Business Project of the Year” for Airport Business Magazine in the concession category and retail sale of the 2025 publication. BDL was recognized by the introduction of two prominent windows located in the terminal: Charter Oak Emporium and CT River Landing. The showcases, created in collaboration with the Lagardère Paradis dealership partner, anchor on each side of the main terminal and show local history.

In November 2023, BDL opened the new Charter Oak Emporium, which used to be a travel mars. The front entry of the shop shows the replicas of two oaks, which pay tribute to its symbolic importance to Connecticut dating to 1662. According to the story, the royal state of the State was hidden inside the trunk of a large white oak so that it could not be confiscated, removing the rights of self-government-government.

In September 2024, the Lobby Airside CNBC store was transformed into Landing River Ct. The name pays homage to the connecticut river, which is the origin of the connecticut name. It extends through the central part of the state, extends to the north of New Hampshire, making it the longest river in New England.

The transformative projects of the business projects of the year are displayed at airports from all over North America, among more than a dozen different categories, which, in addition to retail and concessions concessions, include safety, technology, land transport, terminal construction, airport operations and load.

In addition to the ongoing concession updates to BDL, the CAA is expected to reveal $ 250 million in infrastructure updates to the traveling public in the summer of 2025.
